Making a Spider-Man Theme Banner Using Cardstock

Materials Needed:

  • Red, blue, black, and white cardstock sheets
  • Scissors or craft knife
  • Glue or double-sided tape
  • Black marker or black vinyl for web designs
  • Hole punch
  • Ribbon, string, or twine
  • Spider-Man logo and character printouts (optional)

Steps:

  1. Cut Banner Pieces
    • Cut cardstock into triangle, pennant, or rectangle shapes.
    • Use red and blue cardstock to match the Spider-Man theme.
  2. Create the Letters
    • Cut out letters spelling "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from white or black cardstock.
    • Glue one letter onto each banner piece.
  3. Add Spider-Man Elements
    • Cut Spider-Man mask shapes from red cardstock.
    • Draw black web patterns on the masks.
    • Add white cardstock eyes.
    • Attach Spider-Man masks or spider logos to selected banner pieces.
      • Decorate with Web Designs
        • Use a black marker to draw spider webs in the corners of each banner.
        • Add small black cardstock spiders for extra detail.
      • Assemble the Banner
        • Punch holes at the top corners of each piece.
        • Thread ribbon or string through the holes.
        • Leave a small gap between each pennant.
      • Final Touches
        • Add glitter cardstock accents if desired.
        • Check spacing and hang the banner for display.
